As a law firm, we are committed to a paradigm shift: using technology and artificial intelligence not only to optimize our operations, but to deliver legal services that are more precise, agile, and strategic.

While envisioning what a modern law firm should look like, I discovered something fascinating: the work of a legal team is remarkably similar to the work of a product team at a technology startup.

What does that mean?

Just as product and technology teams design services, processes, features, and customer journeys, lawyers design legal frameworks, contracts, arguments, and legal narratives to guide and support a company's operations. In both cases, the goal is the same: to model reality through logical, functional systems.

A lawyer's code isn't written in Python or JavaScript, but in clauses, resolutions, and documents that represent possible scenarios within a regulatory framework.

Parallel mental structures

The mental structures of developers and lawyers are strikingly similar. Legal thinking is, in essence, not so different from computational thinking. Both start from structured logic: defining conditions, anticipating scenarios, and predicting outcomes.

The inevitable question

From these similarities, an inevitable question arises: why not apply developers' tools to legal practice?

From that question was born SVA Development, our in-house division dedicated to creating technological tools that merge legal practice with artificial intelligence and software development.

Stay tuned for our upcoming products to see how we are transforming legal practice through technology.
